giaalumniontario

On June 11th, 2019 the GIA Alumni Ontario hosted a Pearl Educational Evening at the George Brown College Gemmology Lab.

The evening started with time for attendees to socialize and get to know each other.

Katharina Möller, FCGmA, FGA, who is a Professor at George Brown College School of Fashion and Jewellery, presented an in depth presentation about Pearls. Lois, of MCD Pearls in Toronto shared insights into current industry developments and quality factors of pearls.

Some highlights from the presentation included spectacular images and visuals from Lois which have been gathered over many years as one of Toronto’s preeminent pearl importers.
